Leaving Hong Kong: A city in flux
Five people who identify as Hong Kongers navigate the questions that come with political and personal changes in the city they call home.
"Leaving Hong Kong: A city in flux" is the story of how people with a common identity comprehend a widespread state of political flux. The documentary centrally focuses on Hong Kong people who have immigrated to the United States. it analyses the choices they make when it comes to determining how to express their identity from abroad, be it by protesting, through art, or in a far more private and personal manner.

Natalie Kainz is a rising Junior at Yale University majoring in Political Science. She’s the lead editor of the Yale Daily News’ video desk, YTV.
Yumi Araki is the managing producer of podcasts at America’s Test Kitchen where she edits and produces the narrative podcast Proof. Vishakha Darbha is the associate audio producer on the New York Times Opinion audio team, where she works on their flagship podcast, The Argument.
